Hello e-nthusiast, welcome to Cruiser * Racer. I'm RebelLion of the Electron Rebel MBC. This blog shares with you my love for electric bicycle technology. This Blog is dedicated to builders who found it hard to find solid information on the dynamics of building a DIY e-Bike. As a builder, I learned a few lessons along the way. I want to share the lesson I've learned with you. My hope is to build a community of like-minded e-nthusiast who share information to help others better understand the dynamics that can't be found across the wire.

How Often Should I Charge My Electric Bike

 Bike Talk v.023🚲

Not all electric bikes have the same battery type. Many manufactured e-bikes have custom batteries specifically for their brand, while others us batteries common to the market such as HaiLong, or Yose Power.

So, determining how often a battery should be charged depends on the brand. While batteries manufactured for e-bikes such as EVELO claim batteries can be charge regularly. Other's will say to avoid fully charging your battery, and recommended that you recharge your batteries when it's between 30% - 60% power capacity.

Like all batteries, electric bike lithium-ion batteries degrade over time. Charging too often or too long can cause the battery to degrade. If a fully charged battery goes without use for a while, this can also degrade the batteries as does unproperly storing the battery. Never store a completely empty battery, batteries should be stored with 40-70% power capacity.

However, above all recommendations, the best advice is in the manual of the battery or e-bike.
