Bike Talk v.023🚲
Not all electric bikes have the same battery
type. Many manufactured e-bikes have custom batteries specifically for their
brand, while others us batteries common to the market such as HaiLong, or Yose
Power.
So, determining how often a battery should be
charged depends on the brand. While batteries manufactured for e-bikes such as
EVELO claim batteries can be charge regularly. Other's will say to avoid fully
charging your battery, and recommended that you recharge your batteries when
it's between 30% - 60% power capacity.
Like all batteries, electric bike lithium-ion
batteries degrade over time. Charging too often or too long can cause the
battery to degrade. If a fully charged battery goes without use for a while,
this can also degrade the batteries as does unproperly storing the battery.
Never store a completely empty battery, batteries should be stored with 40-70%
power capacity.
However, above all recommendations, the best
advice is in the manual of the battery or e-bike.
