Bike Talk 010 🚲
Himiway E-bikes is the brainchild of Mike Magaruh, a North American who spent years in China and Southeast Asia learning about e-bikes and the growing industry behind it.
The
All-Terrain Fat Tire E-Bike
These
fat tire e-bikes come in two models, two and have three styles. The All-Terrain
bikes are essentially modeled after the motorcycle cruiser while the Escape is
more of a café racer style.
The All-Terrain cruiser model two style
differences are minimal with the change being a step-thru version of the
cruiser.
The
All-Terrain model has a 6061 Aluminum frame, 750W geared hub motor, and 48V
17.5Ah Samsung battery. It has a twist throttle that gets a range of 35-60 Mi
per charge and 7-speed gear shift, 5 level pedal assist and speeds up to 25
MPH.
There's
an LCD monitor, and disc brakes to stop those fat tires. The front fork is
equipped with coil suspension and hydraulic lockout. There's even a sweet 48V
light lamp in the front and a solid custom rear rack.
This
model weighs in at 72lbs and has a 350lb payload. That is just the All-Terrain
cruiser, now let me tell ya' about the Himiway Escape.
The Escape
The
Escape E-Bike is classified as a Moped, it is also built on a 6061 aluminum
frame, has a 48V 14Ah Samsung battery, and a 750 W geared hub motor. The Escape
gets 45+ miles per charge, and 7 speed 5 level pedal assist. It also gets the
same amount of torque-speed of 25 MPH.
The
moped is much like the cruiser when it compares to parts but, not in style and
performance. The Escape is stacked with dual suspension & hydraulic
lockout, fatter wider Kenda Tires 20"X4" on alloy wheels, hydraulic
disc brakes, integrated rear brake light, and 48V front headlight.
This
bike has full suspension and a solid custom rear rack which is a little smaller
in diameter than the rack on the All-Terrain cruiser.
This
one weighs in at 92lbs and only a 330lb payload. So, naturally, it is equipped
with a heavy-duty aluminum kickstand.
What
I like about Himiway other than their fantastically built and designed electric
bikes is their accessories shop. This company considered everyday cyclists when
creating all the available add-ons. There are trunks, helmets, baby seats, cold
weather gear, and so much more.
Mike
Magaruh and Himiway are making some pretty outstanding electric bikes built
here in the United States. I am happy to support builders and manufacturers in
North and South America. I'm also happy I could review the Himiway Electric
Bike company for all of you.
I
also hope that I've been helpful to anyone looking for a great North American
made e-bike. I aspire to help build this community in North and South America
enabling bicycling to become more popular for western civilization.
Hope
this helps you decide and has made you informed.
Ride
Easy!
